Great Valley-Earl L. Boothe, 79, of Route 98, died Friday December 30, 1983, in the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home, in Olean, NY. Born February 12, 1904 in Otto, he was a son of Clarence and Grace Reed Boothe. On December 4, 1971 in North Evans, he was married to the former Alameta Nolan, who survives.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Boothe was a former employee of Eastman Kodak of Rochester, Fancher Furniture Company of Salamanca, and Signore Division of AVM in Ellicottville. He was a member of the United Church of Ellicottville.
Surviving besides his widow are three stepsons, Myron Boothe of Salamanca, Ray Crum of Buffalo and John Crum; 12 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mabel Signor of Ellicottville, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a stepson, LeRoy Crum in 1965.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke Funeral Home Inc., 3 Jefferson Street, Ellicottville, today from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Monday, January 2, 1984, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mary M. Simpson, pastor of the United Church of Ellicottville will officiate. Burial will be in the Little Valley Rural Cemetery.
