Funeral services were impressively conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Kebil-Coultrip Funeral Home for Chauncey Gustafson, 86, who passed away Sunday, May 13 at the home of his daughter in Princeton, Minnesota. He had been in failing health for sometime. The Rev. Wayne Leighty of the local Methodist Church officiated, and burial took pace in the Charter Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Gustafson was born march 20, 1865 in Sycamore, the son of Daniel D. Gustafson and Electa A. Johnson. He spent the early part of his life in Illinois and Iowa, living in Hampshire and Sycamore until 1910, when he and his family moved to Rose Creek, Minnesota. In 1920, they moved to Princeton where he spent the remainder of his life.

On December 5, 1888 he was married to Mary B. Jackman of Sycamore. One child, Jennie Young, was born to this union.

In November of 1896, he was united in marriage to Nellie Johnson of Charter grove, who died Aril 18, 1897.

His third marriage took place August 17, 1899 to Leona May, whose death occurred in 1925. To this union was born two children, Gladys Leona Reed and Leslie C. Gustafson. He was a member of Charter Grove Methodist church for many years. Mr. Gustafson was a man of fine ideals and was highly regarded by all who knew him.

Accompanying the body to sycamore were the two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Reed of Princeton, Minnesota and Mrs. Roy (Jennie) Young of Nora Springs, Iowa. Surviving also, is a son, Leslie Gustafson who arrived here late Thursday from Pontiac, Michigan; also nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters; Mrs. Mary Wright of Mason City, Iowa and Mrs. Carrie blunt of Rosemead, California, also several nieces and nephew.

Preceding him in death besides his three wives were two sisters; Emily and Anne and three brothers, Fredrick, Frank and Berton.
