Died in Chelan, Friday morning at 6 o'clock, Mrs. Clara Gard (nee Boyles), wife of Mr. Arthur Gard, aged about 19 or 20 years. Her illness dated from the birth of her babe – a little daughter – November 3, 1904. She was under a physician's care from the beginning, all was done that could be done for her, but gradually grew worse, developing a typhoid condition, complicated with kidney trouble.
Her patience during her severe suffering was remarkable and a truly Christian spirit was manifested during her entire illness. The bereaved husband and parents of the deceased whose untimely removal has cast a gloom over the community can be assured of the sympathy of all in their great sorrow. The funeral was conducted at the M. E. church by Pastor Harvey on Saturday afternoon and was largely attended.
