Kenneth E. Eichelberger, 86, of York, died Tuesday at Manor Care Health Services North, York, of natural causes.
He was the husband of C. Louise Eichelberger.
A free-lance textile designer since 1955, Eichelberger owned and operated studios in Lancaster and Nova Scotia. He and his son, Roland, designed and built the studio in Nova Scotia.
Before that he was head designer at the former Tioga Textile Mill, York. In the early 1930's, he was an apprentice at the former Blue Bird Silk Mill, York.
Born in York, he was the son of the late Lars E. and Helen C. Burg Eichelberger.
Surviving besides his wife and son, Roland E. of Manchester, are two daughters Diane C. Tamarkin of York and Gwen A. Bufkin of Phoenix; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois E. Campbell of Seattle.
