LIMBER - Andrew Limber was born on August 17, 1925, to Greek Immigrants, Elmer and Helen Limber. Andy graduated from South High in 1943 serving as class President both his Junior and Senior years. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he attended Michigan State University on the GI Bill, earning a degree in business administration.

He worked most of his life at the family business, Madison Bradley Laundry (est. 1924). He met the love of his life, Alice Winterhalter, when she came into the laundry looking for a job. Being underage, she turned to leave. Andy chased her down the street and hired her anyway. Andy and Alice were married 62 years and had 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

People will always remember Andy as Mr. TPA (Traveler's Protective Association), where he was an active member for many years, serving in a variety of positions, including state president. Andy enthusiastically and tirelessly told everyone about the benefits and worked to get more people signed up. After working a full life at the laundry he went on to work at the US Post office for another 20 years, retiring at age 82.

Andy loved people, so he spent the next 10 years volunteering in ways to help others, working an average of 4 days a week at Degage Ministries, God's Kitchen, Meals on Wheels, the Red Cross and serving Veterans hot dogs in the park every Tuesday for years.

Andy's faith was very important to him and impacted every aspect of his life. Uncle Andy, Theio Andy, as he was affectionately called, was an active lifelong member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where he served on the Parish council. Andy was friendly, kind and genuinely interested in everyone he met, regardless of their status in life. Andy will be missed by all. Memory Eternal.

Preceded in death by his wife Alice, siblings: Peter, Katherine and twin sister Stella. He is survived by his children: Steve (Patricia) Limber, Scott (Carol) Limber, Terry Limber, Kelly (Tim) Boelema and Susan (Ben) Rottschafer; grandchildren: Katie (Matt), Heather (Corey), Melissa (John), Nick (Erin), Andrea (Justin), Sam (Shelby), Laura and Niko; great grandchildren: Autumn, Molly, Adaline, Lucas, Lucy, Hailey and Natalie.

Funeral and visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 330 Lakeside Dr NE. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31st 5-8PM with Trisagion prayers at 7PM. Funeral, Thursday, September 1st at 11AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment Restlawn Cemetery. In place of flowers, donations can be made to Degage Ministries or God's Kitchen. The family would like to thank Beacon Hill for their care and compassion.
