Nancy B. Sorenson
  Nancy Blackburn Sorenson, age 79, died December 2, 1994 of leukemia. She was surrounded by her family at a daughter's home in Orem, Utah.
  She was born January 6, 1915 in Loa, Utah, a daughter of Heber Charles and Louisa Taylor Blackburn. She married Worth Sorenson on October 30, 1934 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple March 21, 1947. Worth died July 22, 1985.
  She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities in all the auxiliaries and in many leadership positions. For several years, she served as an extractor in the genealogy library of Wayne Stake. She also enjoyed doing temple work. She was active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and held several leadership positions over the years. She enjoyed quilting and made many beautiful quilts for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and received numerous awards through the Beautification Program on state and local levels.
  She is survived by her children, Cuma and Malu Hoopiiaina of Salt Lake City; Jackie and James King, Doris and Dean Garner, Philip and Carolyn Sorenson, all of Orem; and Enoch Sorenson of Jackson, Wyoming; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Wayne Blackburn, Loa; Lewis Blackburn, Madge Albrecht Taylor and Elda Ellett, all of Fremont, Utah. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
  Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 1994 at 12 noon in the Loa LDS Stake Tabernacle. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church in Loa on Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Loa Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
