  LOA, Utah — E. Worth Sorenson, age 76, died July 22, 1985 at his home in Loa.
  Born July 23, 1908 in Loa to Enoch and Julia Hayne Brian Sorenson. He married Elma Anderson, July 1, 1928 in Richfield, Utah. She died October 29, 1933. He married Nancy Blackburn, October 30, 1934 in Richfield, Utah; marriage solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, March 21, 1947. He was a retired farmer and livestockman. He served as secretary and treasurer of the Fremont Irrigation Company for the past 15 years. He also read meters for Garkane Power Association in Wayne County. He served on the Loa Town Board for many years and served as Wayne County Commissioner for 10 years. He was an active member of the LDS Church, having held many positions on ward and stake levels. At the time of his death, he was serving as Secretary to the High Priest Quorum in the Loa Ward. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He and his wife, Nancy, have won many awards through the Beautification Program on both the State and Local levels.
  Survivors: wife, Loa; daughters and sons, Mrs. Malu (Cuma) Hoopiiaina, Salt Lake City; Mrs. James (Jackie) King, El Toro, California; Mrs. Dean (Doris) Garner and Phillip Sorenson, both of Orem; Enoch Sorenson, Jackson Hole, Wyoming; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Jeppe Sorenson, Mrs. Dalton (Luva) Okerlund, Lola Anderson, Clieve Mathis and Rue S. Brown, all of Loa; Wanda Haycock and Ella Willardson, both of Salt Lake City.
  Funeral services Thursday, July 25, 1:00 p.m. in the Loa Stake Tabernacle. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield and Thursday at the Church in Loa from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial: Loa Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield.
