The native of Gloucester County was a member of First Baptist Church, Ordinary. He was a retired small-engine mechanic, having worked with the Coast Guard and the Naval Weapons Station.
Survived by his wife, Virginia Green; a daughter, Audrey Ann Stokes of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Emily Smith, and four brothers, Clyde Green, Vernon Green, Herman Green and Morris Green, all of Ordinary; four grandchildren and a great–grandchild.
Funeral at 11 a.m. Sunday at Howard Funeral Home, Ark, by the Rev. James Davis. Burial in Gloucester Fields Cemetery, Ordinary.
