Margaret Ahner, age 96, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at West Branch Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She had lived in the Lupton area since 2005, formerly of Hale and Brownsboro, TX. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Hale.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Roy Ahner of Lupton, a granddaughter, Cyndy (Lawrence) Stachowiak of Utica, her son-in-law Max McArthur of Lupton and her sister-in-law Mary Gartner of Wyandotte. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna McArthur, a grandson, John McArthur and her siblings, Frank, Anna and Elizabeth.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. and on Sunday from 1-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the funeral home. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate with burial following at Lane Heights Cemetery, Lupton.
