Michael "Mike" Alan Gleason, age 80, late of Naperville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. Born in Paxton, Illinois, raised in Buckley, Illinois, and a resident of Lockport, Illinois for many years. A proud United States Navy Veteran. He was employed as a Regional Manager in the air freight forwarding industry retiring in 2006. Member of the Naperville American Legion Post 43. Mike in his younger years enjoyed hunting and sports. Above all else, he was a devoted grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren more than anything in life.
Preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Velma (Nee Morgan) Gleason; one brother, Gregory (late Barbara) Gleason; and one nephew, Jared Feithen.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Ann "Pat" (Nee Feithen); three cherished children, Dan Gleason, Kathy (Darius) Bozorgi, and Maureen (Rob) Tokar; five adored grandchildren, Katie, Matt, and Megan Bozorgi; and Ryan and Michael Tokar; brother-in-law, Bill (Lori Marcellus) Feithen; and sister-in-law, Lynda (late John) O'Brien. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (michaeljfox.org) or Lewy Body Dementia Association (www.lbda.org) would be greatly appreciated.
Per Mike's wishes, Cremation Rites were respectfully addressed.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Michael's life will be held at Saint Dennis Church 1214 South Hamilton Street, Lockport, Illinois 60441 on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Thursday, August 25, 2022, 2:00 p.m. with Full Military Honors.
