LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP - Francis Craner "Gleas" Gleason, 80, of Lockport Township, died Thursday, March 27, 1997, at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Monday at the O'Neil Funeral Home, P.C., Lockport, Illinois.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Dennis Church, by the Rev. Robert Maternoski.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
He was born September 30, 1916, in Buckley, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Florence (Craner) Gleason.
His wife, the former Velma (Morgan) Gleason, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Patricia Gleason of Naperville, Illinois, Gregory and Barbara Gleason of Lockport, Illinois; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Betty Gleason of Kankakee, Illinois; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Catherine Tuttle of Kankakee, Illinois, Mary and Clarence Calvert of Bradley, Illinois, Loretta and Frank Golowski of Bourbonnais, Illinois, Reva Swanstrom of Paxton, Illinois; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gleason was a plumber and had worked at the Ford Motor Company for 23 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a former member of the Lockport Moose Lodge 1157.
