Mrs. Geniveve Carter Jordan, 95, died Monday morning at Baptist Village Retirement Communities after an extended illness.

She was born in Pierce County to the late Hobson Carter and Mamie Lee Carter; also preceded in death by her late husband, Daniel Bradley Jordan, Sr., also by her daughter, Diane Jordan; granddaughter, Alicia Justice;
and siblings, Louise Lee, Bobby Carter, D. J. Carter, Athlene Taylor, Carl Carter, Benny Carter and Loren Carter.

She lived most of her life in Ware County. Mrs. Jordan and her late husband, Daniel Bradley Jordan, Sr., owned and operated Jordan Feed Store in Dixie Union. She was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church, and she enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, cooking, gardening in her flowers, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children:
Daniel B. Jordan, Jr. (Gloria) of Blackshear,
Linda Justice (Malcolm) of Waycross,
Phil Jordan (Elaine) of Waycross,
Lisa Waters (Kenneth) of Bickley;

grandchildren,
Jeana Little (late Thomas), Brad Jordan (Amanda), Sonia Delk (Greg), Michelle Dixon (Teke), Jenny Starling (Chad), Emily Howell, Phillip Jordan (Ashlynn), Kenna Waters and Hunter Waters;
15 great grandchildren;
brother, Donny Carter (Wanda) of Waycross;
and numerous special nieces, nephews and family friends.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday (August 17, 2022) at Oakland Cemetery.
