Arnor Robley Aurdal, born June 5, 1933, in Bellingham, Washington, died peacefully May 26, 2005, at Valley General Hospital in Monroe.

He was a long time resident of Monroe area. He joined the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Later married and settled his family in Monroe. Rob was water-well driller in the valley for 20+ years. He and his second wife, Hildegarde retired in Zap, North Dakota, for 12 years until Hildegarde's death in September 2004. Rob was a great story teller and had a full and interesting life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arn and Nantte Aurdal; his sister, Gerri Olson; and step-son, Larry, and his wife of 23 years, Hildegarde.

He survived by his children, Steve Aurdal and Jennifer Wirt; grandchildren, Julie Ann, Jackie, and Keith Wirt; and his step-children, Shelly Stroh and Ray Gappert; and his step-grand-children, Tyson Gappert, Timmy Lowery, Tayla Lowery, and Kyler Stroh; and step-great-grand-daughter, Tianna Lowery.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. June 11, 2005, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1305 Pine St. Snohomish.
