Erica Covarrubia, 33, Deming resident passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX.

Visitation will take place at Baca's Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 led by Nena Juarez. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 11 o'clock in the morning with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Jesus Martinez will officiate.

Erica was born on May 22, 1989 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Maria Teresa Medrano and Miguel M. Covarrubia. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family was something she really enjoyed.

She is survived by her parents, Miguel M. & Maria Teresa Covarrubia; 2 daughters, Jacqueline Maria & Jayla Jordan Covarrubia; 2 sisters, Iliana Covarrubia (Arturo Montaño) & Aylene Covarrubia (Jose Manuel Granillo); as well as many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Gilberto Covarrubia and Rosa Maria Molina and her maternal grandfather, Fernando Medrano.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roberto and Daniel Covarrubia, Arturo Montaño, Arturo Molina, Enrique Flores and Jose Manuel Granillo.
