She was born Nov. 18, 1918, at Soldier, Kan., to George and Gertie (Fairbanks) Chrisman. She attended school there and married Floyd Conaway on Aug. 23, 1936, at Soldier. They lived at Onaga, Kan., before moving to the Lake Chelan area in 1937. She worked for Valley Evaporating Co. for 15 years until health forced her retirement in 1973.
Mrs. Conaway was a member of the Chelan Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd, at home; two sons, Dean, Chelan, and Glen, Renton, a brother, Pat Chrisman, Alice, Texas; three sisters, Helen Kelley, Kansas City, Mo., Georgia Wick, Brooksville, Fla., and Rayola Chastain, Sumter, SC, and six grandchildren.
