Harriet V. (Beverlin) Bell, 74, passed away on February 22nd, 1978, in Rock Island, Illinois. The daughter of William and Jennie (Reed) Beverlin, she was born in Muscatine, Iowa before moving to Rock Island. Her first husband, Camiel Waeyaert, was killed in an accident at the Rock Island Arsenal. With two children from that marriage, she married Ben A. Bell in December, 1925. "Hattie" was active with the South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star No 269, DeMolay Mother's, Woman's Club of Rock Island, and the Rock Island Post Office Auxiliary. Hattie also taught piano lessons for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother Surviving family members include her children, Earl C. Bell, Velma Huebner, Ben B. Bell, James W. Bell, Sr., and Elizabeth A. Bell. She was also survived by her sister, Frances and multiple grandchildren.
