Phyllis A. Rothrock, 94, of Columbus, passed from this life on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 5:58 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor.

Phyllis was born September 28, 1927, in Columbus the daughter of Willis and Agnes Pearce Fox.

On June 1, 1946, she married John M. "Tubby" Rothrock.

She retired after 36 years of service as school guard, upon retirement she went on to Volunteer at the hospital.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, the Senior Center and Red Hat Society. She was an avid sports fan including the Pacers, Colts, IU Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.

Survivors include her children, Jerry (Ella) , John II (Linda) , Mike (Edele) Rothrock; 15 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John M. "Tubby" Rothrock on June 12, 1990; sons, Larry and William Rothrock; grandchild, Angela Marie Rothrock; great grandson, Zachary Rothrock; brothers, Paul, Cy, Carl, and Frank Fox; and a sister, Ruth Rudolph.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 with Pastor Ed Boston officiating.

Family and friends may gather for visitation on Friday from 11:00 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.

Entombment will follow at Garland Brook Mausoleum
