Mr. Rothrock was born September 16, 1948, in Columbus, the son of John M. “Tubby” and Phyllis A. Fox Rothrock.
Larry retired from Sexton Vault Company where he had worked for several years.
He was an independent grave digger for over 50 years, and enjoyed IU basketball, Colts football and dirt track racing.
Survivors include his mother, Phyllis A. Rothrock of Columbus; sons, Marty Rothrock of North Vernon, Tom Rothrock of Columbus, Scott Rothrock of North Vernon and Randy Rothrock of Columbus; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Jerry (Ella Mae) Rothrock of Columbus, Johnny (Linda) Rothrock of Kansas, Mike (Edell) Rothrock of Columbus and William Rothrock of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter.
A private funeral service will be held at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Boston officiating.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
