POEM DEDICATED TO HER:
On the corner there she stands,
A little shaky, worn and old.
There is a tremble in her hands,
As the brave, red poppies she holds.
On her face is written
The passing of many years.
Above the brave little smile
One can detect the tears.
She stands in memory of one
Whom she holds most dear.
He had served so long ago
To protect his dear ones here.
From the tyrant's angry sword
And to keep his country free.
May none of us e'er forget
What he did for you and me.
When we honor all our boys
And give them what they deserve,
Let us not forget the ladies.....
And remember...They also serve.
