Funeral services for Dabney Adams, well-known Confederate veteran and retired farmer, will be held from St. John's Lutheran Church, near Singers Glen, Saturday morning at eleven o'clock. Mr. Adams, who was born in Orange county in 1845, died Wednesday at the Confederate soldiers Home at Richmond, where he went one week before his death. He had made his home in Harrisonburg for the past three years. Obituary abstracted from Harrisonburg (VA) Daily News-Record, Saturday, July 23, 1930.
