She was born in Somersetshire, England, April 22, 1848, and came to America at the age of ten years. She lived in Illinois, and came to Kansas with her son.
She was first married to J. C. Cook Sr. and to them were born four children. Only one has survived. By a later marriage two more children were born to her, they have died.
She later married Charles Dorman, November 26, 1888, and he died May 25, 1900.
She leaves her one living son, four grandchildren, two in Michigan, and two in Kansas.
