Was Dead Four Days. Sheepherder Dies Alone Near Malta, and Is Guarded By His Faithful Dog
Harlem, Oct. 7--Word was brought to the city today that the body of a sheepherder, named One Arm Pike, had been found along the Great Northern line 10 miles east of Malta, and that it had lain on the prairie for four days guarded by his faithful dog, who would not allow anyone to come near it.
The authorities at Malta were notified, but they sent word to the county coroner of this county and he went to Malta to investigate. It is stated that the old man died from natural causes.
