Calvin Letner, age 76, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and formerly of Scott County, died February 23, 1996, in the VA Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born in Monticello, Ky., March 25, 1919, he was the son of the late John Calvin and Leona Letner. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He is survived by one daughter, Patty Summers of Sharps Chapel, Tenn.; two sons: Calvin Lee Letner of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Garry Letner of Burnside, Ky.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Austin Letner, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted February 26, 1996, in the Chapel of WestMurley Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cecil officiating. Special music was provided by The Singing Hamby's. Interment followed in the Cut Cemetery. American Legion Post # 136 was in charge of full military honors at graveside. WestMurley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
