Rock Hill, South Carolina - Eddie Christine Love Dover, 76, passed away July 13, 2022 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Hughey Love and Sue Beam Love, and her sisters, Nancy Love Black and Anne Love Kimberlain.
Eddie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Howard James "Sonnie" Dover, her sons, Christopher Shane Dover (Sarah) of Lake Elsinore, CA and Stephen Lance Dover, Sr. (Elizabeth) of Johns Island, SC, five loving grandchildren, Hadley, Kemper, Stephen, Christine, and Jason, her brother, Reed Jackson Love of Concord, NC and sister, Rita Love Hamrick of Harrisburg, NC.
After graduating from Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, SC as Valedictorian of her class, Eddie was employed and retired from Springs Industries as an executive assistant. Over the years, she has enjoyed cooking and entertaining family members and friends on various occasions for dinners, luncheons, and other events. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and two sons visiting all 50 states, Australia, Tahiti, New Zealand, Mo'orea, Mexico, Canada, and Caribbean cruises.
Eddie was a woman of strong faith and a long-time member of Woodhaven Baptist Church. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother (Granna). She will truly be missed by all knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on July 18, 2022 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Woodhaven Baptist Church, 2060 Marett Blvd. Ext., Rock Hill, SC 29732 in her memory.
