Otis Faucett, 75, died at 5:10 a.m. Thursday, March 20 at his home on Mt. Vernon
Rt. 1 after a heart attack.
Born July 4, 1893, in Tennessee, he had lived most of his life in the Mt. Vernon
community. He was a farmer, a member of Summit Baptist church, World War I
veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Zelma; four sons, Ray and Leo, both of Springfield,
Glenn, Marionville Rt. 1, and Harry Seymour; two brothers, Andy, Mt. Vernon Rt.
1, and Carl, Everton; and 18 grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Summit Baptist church, with Revs.
Hubert Fugitt and Phillip Ball officiating. Burial was in Sycamore cemetery
under direction of Max L. Fossett.
