Lydia's first husband was Thomas Hewitt, b. 20 Jun 1788 to Robert Hewitt and Abigail (Meach) Hewitt. Together, they had four children: Avery Chaplin, b. 1818; Narcissus Armenia, b. 1819; Angella, b. 1821; and Caroline Antoinette, b. 1825. After the death of her first husband on 5 Oct 1828 in Abington, CT, Lydia soon remarried to Bingham Fisk in Chaplin, CT. Together, they had four more children: Priscilla Bingham, b. 1831; Mary Smith, b. 1832; Laura Webb, b. 1835; and George Washington, b. 1837. Lydia was again widowed in 1849, and is listed on the 1850 US Census as "Wd. Bingham Fisk".
