Eleanor was the daughter of Dennis Sheridan of Franklin County, Virginia. Her sister was Alice Sheridan who married Daniel Griffith in Franklin County. (Thanks to Kathy Stroope Veasey for her father & sister info)
Eleanor was the first wife of Rev. Michael Howery, Sr. They married on Sept. 26, 1816. Two of their sons, Michael Jr. and Isaac W. and one grandson, Isaac Hughes, are buried adjacent to them. She is buried next to Michael Sr. Their nephew Preston Howery and his wife Elizabeth (Cannaday) are also buried in Pine Creek Cemetery.
