Scott Mackey officiating, under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. James passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022 in Longivew.

He was born on August 16, 1926 in Kenedy, Texas to Dan Abb and Ida Olive Scruggs Pace. He was 1 of ten children, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

James graduated college from Texas A&M with a degree in Agriculture. He also served in the US Army and was a cotton merchant.
