Her husband, Daniel died in 1877 and she remarried to Henry Lewis Bates of Cohasset and they had six children:
Henry, Lewis, Lottie, Emily, Georgianna and Cora.
Amelia died in 1927 and was buried in the Beechwood Cemetary in Cohasset, Massachusetts.
