Robert was born on January 6, 1947, in New Iberia, LA to Cleveland Maynard and Margaret Weber and was called to his Heavenly father on June 28, 2022. He served our Country honorably in the Army, then went on to work in the Oilfield as a Roughneck until his retirement.
Robert loved sports, especially the New Orleans Saints & LSU football. He also enjoyed watching TV, and politics. Robert was a loving husband, father grandfather and great grandfather. He was very proud of his family, his children and grandchildren. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by his son, Ronnie Maynard (Christine) of Mermentau Cove, LA; his daughter, Erika Monceaux of Morse, LA; his five grandchildren, Ashlie Vincent, Caleb Maynard, Kaitlin & Kylie Monceaux, Konnor Maynard & one more on the way; his great grandchild, Nani Maynard; his four brothers, Larry Maynard of Crowley, LA, Johnny Maynard of Thibodeaux, LA, B illy Maynard of Crowley, LA, Chris Maynard of Jennings, LA.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland & Margaret Maynard; his beloved wife, LuLu Mae Maynard; his brother Gerald Maynard; his four sisters, Olive Matthews, Mary Maynard, Margaret Maynard, & Helen Maynard.
Funeral Services for Robert Lee Maynard, 75 of Morse, LA will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, LA on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Jimmy Broussard officiating.
Burial will follow in Hanks Cemetery.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, LA beginning on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 8:00 AM until the time of his Service at 11:00 AM.
