Services for R. H. (Dick) Arnell, 61, of Route 1, Grandview, who died Friday of injuries suffered in an industrial accident on the Hanford project, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Mueller's Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Hicks will officiate. Interment will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park with Desert Lodge No. 153, AF&AM, in charge. Mr Arnell was born Jan. 17, 1906, in Newton, Mo., and was an operating engineer for J. A. Jones Construction Co. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local of Pasco; St. John Lodge No. 65, AF&AM, Mulhall, Okla.; Kennewick Consistory, Scottish Rite Bodies, and El Katif Temple of the Shrine, Spokane. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Fleta I., Grandview; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Organ, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Luella Doty, Flint, Mich.; and two brothers, Fletcher and Junior Organ, both of Kansas City, Mo. The family has suggested contributions be made to the Spokane Shrine Hospital through the Columbia Basin Shrine Club, in care of Gene Groff, 306 Craighill Ave., Richland.
