Ruth M. Braun, 71, of 1736 Pennsylvania Ave., died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital. She had been ill since November. She was the wife of Charles F. Braun, with whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. Mrs. Braun had been employed as a clerk in the china department at Watt & Shand for 15 years. Before that she was a clerk for Darmstaetter's in Lancaster. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lancaster, the St. Jude Society and the Watt & Shand Social Club. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Mae Hacker Faltine. Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Mary Frances, wife of Gerald R. Young, West Greenwich, RI, and Paula A., wife of William T. Anderson, Lancaster; a son, Michael S., Pequea; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Werhel, Lancaster.
