Rison -
Walker Blake, 77, of Rison, a retired farmer and carpenter, died Wednesday at Cleveland County Nursing Home here.

Born in Lincoln County, he was a son of Berley and Delia Throneberry Blake.

He Had lived in Rison most of his life.

He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church near Woodlawn and was a member of the Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include his wife, Lottie Smith Blake; two sons, L. W. Blake of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and Walter Blake of Rison; a daughter, Neda Jean Davis of Camden; a brother, Fred Black of Star City; two sisters, Vera Willis of Rison and Margie Owens of Hot Springs; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

His funeral is scheduled for 2 p. m. Friday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Frank Glover and Reverend Joe Frank Lunsford officiating. Burial will be in Rowell Cemetery near Rison by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.

Pallbearers will be James L. Moore, I. E. Moore, Ronnie Rawls, Tommy Lunsford, James Brown and Res Morrison.
