Devona worked at many different jobs, including cook, dishwasher, at the cherry factory in Traverse City, as a home health aide and daycare provider. She was known as a jack of all trades. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles and was a big pet lover as evidenced by her two dogs and three cats. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was the type of person who took care of the needs of others before tending to her own.
Devona is survived by two children and their spouses: Valerie Malkowski and her husband, Brandon Bursick, of Caseville, Keith Malkowski and his wife, Kara, of Midland; eight grandchildren; siblings: Delores McIntyre and husband, Doug, of Caro, Doris Muxlow and husband, Jim, of Imlay City, George Kile II of Sandusky, Larry Kile and wife, Sandy, of Texas. In addition to her parents and husband, Devona was preceded in death by one sister, Georgina Kile.
In keeping with Devona's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to a local Humane Society. The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro. Friends may share memories, thoughts and prayers online at www.RansfordCollon.com.
