Donnie Brightwell passed away on April 23, 2020, at his residence. He was born the son of Urey and Eastle (Clarkson) Brightwell on August 25, 1938, in Kissee Mills, MO. Donnie was a lifelong resident of Taney County, MO. He married Delene Wyman on March 22, 1958. In 1959, Donnie began construction of new buildings. Later he operated heavy equipment and opened B & T Construction Company, with his Son In-law Henry Tilley. He was well known for the work he did around the community. Donnie was a board member at Protem Community Church, a member of the Sampson Masonic Lodge No. 298,and a board member for the Mark Twain School Board. He enjoyed farming along with his cattle and mules. Each morning Donnie and his dog (Angel and then Chubby) would start their day at the Pioneer Store. Donnie loved spending time with his family. Donnie also became a Chrisitian later in life and truly loved his church family.

He is survived by his wife Delene Brightwell of the home; Daughter, Donna Lowrance and husband Todd of Protem, MO.; grandson Darren Tilley and wife Elise of Protem, MO.; other grandsons, Scott Tilley and wife Shanna, and Cobb Lowrance and wife Amy of Marshfield, MO, and, Cory Lowrance and wife Heidi of Lebanon, MO; great-grandchildren, Natalee, Hannah, Chloe and Boe; other great grand-children Grace, and Gavin Tilley, Lane, Katelyn, Eli, Uriah, and Zelma Lowrance; sister, Dorothy Godwin of Branson, MO.; brothers Delmar Brightwell and wife Wanda of TX., Kennith Brightwell and wife Josie of OK.; sisters in-law, Barbara Brightwell of OK., and Kathy Brightwell of Protem, MO.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wesley Brightwell; siblings, Sam Brightwell, Jerry Brightwell, and Kay Brightwell; Brother in-law Jay Godwin; and son in-law Henry Tilly.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, and memorials are suggested to Protem Cemetery for maintenance purposes. Cremation services have been entrusted to Whelchel Grace Funeral Home.
