Born September 12, 1943, in Moncks Corner, she was a daughter of the late Joseph B. And Clara Wells Hill. She was a graduate of Clinton High School and Winthrop University. Clara was a championship basketball coach at Union High School. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed the outdoors.
She was a member of Cross Hill First Baptist Church and a longtime member of ASPCA.
Surviving are a step-son, Jason Combs of Columbia; a step-daughter, Mollie Combs McClellan of Columbia; a sister, Rivanna Ward of Central; a nephew, Benji Hill of Greenwood; and a sister-in-law, Rachael Hill of Greenwood
She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Hill.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday at Cross Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Shiflet officiating.
