Chester Finn Dies in Memphis Hospital

Chester Evans Finn of 327 North Pearl, Houston, a lifelong resident of Chickasaw county, died in Veteran's Hospital, Memphis, at 4:45 am, Dec. 8, 1971. Funeral services were conducted from Houston Funeral Home Chapel at 10 am, Friday, Dec. 10, with interment in the Houston Cemetery. The Rev. Harold Halcomb officiated.

Pallbearers were William R Gann, Charles Spencer, Cecil Gilbert, Carton Stafford, Bill Marion and Bobby Joe Allen.

Mr. Finn, who was born in Chickasaw county January 22, 1909, was a retired salesman for a local bottling firm. He was a member of Houston First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clemmie Byars Finn of Houston, three sons, William A Finn, Bisbee, Arizona, Thomas E Finn and James F Finn, both of Houston; three brothers, Walter Finn of Memphis, Roland Finn of West Memphis, Ark., and Nolan Finn of Prichard, Ala.; one sisters, Mrs. Grace Harrington of St. Petersburg, Fla. Nine grandchildren also survive.
