She survives along with his sister, Patricia (Fred) Reinholdt of East Peoria; four children, Patricia (Ernie) Cox of Germantown Hills, Danny (Denise) Grafelman of Little Rock, Ark., Bobbie Clark and Nicholas (Karen) Grafelman, both of Washington, Ill. He was blessed with nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving his country from 1951 to 1953 as a corporal for the 27th Infantry in the Korean War in 1952.
He was employed by the Toledo, Peoria & Western Railroad for 35 years, serving in many capacities. He later worked nine years at the East Peoria Community High School, retiring in 1992.
