Mrs. Fred Huffman, 75, 3609 W. Fourth St., died Saturday at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Huffman, the former Mildred Birk, was born March 13, 1903, in Ticonic, Iowa. She moved to Sioux City with her family when she was a child. She was married April 29, 1927, in Elk Point, S. D., and the couple resided in South Sioux City and Gateway Beach. Mr. Huffman died June 20, 1971. Mrs. Huffman had lived in Sioux City since 1973. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Olmstead of Sioux City, and a grandson. Services for will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Berkemier Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Bogue of Riverside United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
