Kenneth Blanton, Sr. - Lattimore- Mr. Kenneth Hewitt Blanton, Sr., 78, of 3740 Artee Road, died Tuesday, Aug 11, 1998, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late John Smauel and Garva Harrill Blanton. He was self-employed as the owner-operator of Blanton Plumbing, and was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church, where he was a charter choir member, a member of Berean Sunday School Class and served as a deacon. He was a graduate og Lattimore High School.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Cabaniss Blanton of the home; a son, Kenneth Hewitt Blanton, Jr. of Lattimore; a daughter, Jane Blanton Moor of Smyrna, Del.; three brothers, John Blanton Jr of Beaufort, Harrill "Bus" Blanton and Robert E "Bob" Blanton, both of Lattimore; three sisters, Beatrix B. Ramey of Lattimore, Annette Blanton Cline of Marion, and Sarah Blanton Dedmond of Shelby; seven grandchildren, Michael Blanton, Chris Blanton, Kenneth Hewitt Blanton, III, Andy Blanton, Jennifer Smith, Matthew Moor and Alex Moor; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Lattimore Baptist Church with Dr. Max Burgin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
