Albert Candee, was thrown from a wagon by a runaway team at Hooper Tuesday and died in Salida the following day, having been brought here for surgical attention. He was an Inmate at the soldiers' home at Las Animas and went out to work on a ranch for a few days. He was a veteran of the Spanish American war and several Indian uprisings.
