Bio:
George C. Ferrell, age 75, Bulls Gap, died Friday, Dec. 1, 1995, from injuries sustained from an automobile accident on Highway 11-E, Washington County.
He attended McCloud Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer, an employee of Henard Lumber Co. and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Gertrude Archer Ferrell; two brothers, Paul and Roy Ferrell; and a sister, Lula Absher.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche Allen Ferrell of the home; three sons, Les M. Ferrell, Bristol, Waymon M. Ferrell, Kingsport, and Rev. Dale M. Ferrell, Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Carrie Davis, Rogersville; three brothers, James W. "Bill" Ferrell, Surgoinsville, Carson Ferrell and Earl H. Ferrell, both of Rogersville.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Broome Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Nelson, Rev. Wayne Ferrell, Rev. Bobby Bentley, and Rev. Carl Ferrell officiating. Graveside services were held Monday at Highland Cemetery.
