DOVER Frank E. Armand, Jr., 77, died at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Anna Mae (Kooyenga) Armand. The couple celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary June 15, 2007. He was born June 27, 1930, in Jefferson County, Ind., a son of the late Frank E. and Molly (Washburn) Armand, Sr. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791. Frank retired in 1997 from Atlantic Caisson Corp., Glen Rock, where he worked as an equipment operator, and later returned to work part-time. He enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by two daughters, Sandy Swalm and her husband, Ron of Dallas, Ga., and Sheri Boone of York; a son, Frank E. Armand III and his wife, Trina of York; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, George Armand of Indiana; and two sisters, Pat Liton and Jane Smith, both of Indiana. He was preceded in death by a son, Jim Armand. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will be in Dover Bethany Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie Whittier, pastor of St. Paul's Red Run U.C.C., East Berlin.
