Ron, age 75, passed away at his home in Belvue. He was the son of Lyle and Ruth (Ross) Arand. He graduated from Wamego High School in 1965 and served in the Kansas National Guard and US Navy on the USS Ozborn during the Vietnam War. He married Silke Straub about 1978. He retired from Caterpillar Work Tools in Wamego after 35+ years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Larry Aran, and his son, Russell Arand. Survivors include his wife, his sons, Robert Arand, Christopher Arand, and Scott Arand, his sisters, Carolyn Arand and Janice Flanary, and four grandchildren. A Memorial Visitation will be held May 28, 2022, at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys.
