Patricia "Pat" Strickland, age 79, formally of Dawnville, passed away May 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Barbara Lou Bartley; her husband, Larry Dearl Strickland Sr; daughter, Cynthia Darlene Strickland; her siblings, Woodrow, Ray V, Hansell, Earnest, Donnie, Bartley, Wilma Sutton Essie Hall Bartley; brother-in-laws Joe Ogles, Jess Cheathem, and Stanley Strickland; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Stickland, Barbara, Sue, and Lillien Bartley.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Larry and Debbie Strickland of Cohutta; daughter and son in law, Becky and Charles Wimpy of Ringgold; grandchildren, Mindy and Adam Holcomb of Ringgold, Charlie and April Wimpy of Tunnel Hill, Talon and Mackenzie Strickland of Ringgold; great-grandchildren, Anniston Holcomb, Gage Wimpy, Aaron Wimpy, Milo Strickland; sisters, Frankie Ogles, Sandra Davis,Willdee Cheathem; brother and sister in law, Wayne and Mary Bartley; brother and sisters-in-law, Horace Strickland, Geraldine Bartley, Cynthia Strickland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service to honor the life of Patricia Strickland will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 3 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, with Rev. Jody Strickland and Rev. Tim Cheatham officiating. Interment will be in the Center Valley Cemetery.
