Mr. Hansel Bartley age 80 of Chatsworth, passed away Sunday August 13, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Assisted Living.
Mr. Bartley was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church, and was a US Army Veteran. Hansel enjoyed farming and gardening.
Mr. Bartley was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Bartley; son, Edwin L. Bartley; parents, Riley and Barbara Bartley; brothers and sisters.
Survivors include, daughters and sons-in-law, Hazel and Gurney Nichols, Sonia and Rob Lankford, Wanda and Danny Chancey –all of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Mary Bartley, Earnest and Coot Bartley –all of Chatsworth; sisters, Wilma, Patrica, Will Dee Cheathem, and Sandra Jo –all of Dalton; grandchildren, Zackary Stinnett, Justin Osborne, Lance Duncan, Cody Mullinax, Collin Lankford, Sara Lankford, Billy Chancey and Hannah Chancey; nieces; nephews; cousins.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bartley will be held Tuesday August 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Cheathem officiating. Interment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
