Married John Barksdale Statham in Pike County on Dec. 12, 1889 and their children were Virginia, Janie, Malcolm D., Euna E., Nannie and Mildred.

MRS. STATHAM PASSES; RITES HERE FRIDAY

Services To Be Held at 10 From Catchings Chapel in McComb

Funeral rites will be said at ten o'clock Friday morning for Mrs. Lucy Statham, widely mourned Christian gentlewoman of the county who passed away Wednesday afternoon at 1:30.

Mrs. Statham died at the home of her son, M.D. Statham, on New York Ave. She was 82 years of age.

Dr. Wyatt R. Hunter, of First Baptist Church, McComb, and Rev. John Maddox, of First Baptist at Magnolia, will conduct final services for this beloved lady, and Messrs. Milton and Gordon Roach, B.D., Alton, Dud and Smiley Statham, Floyd Humphries and Carey Ray born (sic) will serve as pallbearers.

She leaves her son, M.D. Statham, McComb, and five daughters, Mrs. J. B. Bondren*, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. George Pound, Magnolia; Mrs. John Young, Greenwood; Miss Una Statham, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Walter Kerley.

Burial will take place in the Statham Family Cemetery** with Catchings Funeral Home in charge of the services.


*Should be Fondren.

**No information has been found on the Statham Cemetery though it was obviously a family cemetery located in Pike County.
