I take a few pictures , add a few memorials and peruse old newspapers. Seems some folks get upset if you add pictures or obits to their memorials. I make sure my info is correct by checking more than one source or just by matching info. I don't mind if you add info to any of my memorials , just make sure it is correct. I try and add obits because it is the quickest way to help family members doing ancestry. I can't run down everyone's info on ancestry then add to someone's research page. I don't own anyone who has died like some people think they do , most not even knowing whose grave they are taking a picture of. The family paid X amount of dollars for a grave site and a tombstone . I took a picture. Some of the families don't even know about Find A Grave and that a picture of their loved one is out in cyberspace. Sorry if I offend anyone by adding info. I at least try and find some information about the memorials I add. And if possible I look for individuals relatives and connect them. I connected 17 members of one family by adding and researching and verifying info on obits . If I put something on a memorial you don't like give me the number and I will remove it. This is a hobby. Not life or death. The death has already occurred and doubt someone who died in 1787 is offended if I post their obit and may help someone looking for a long lost relative. Again sorry if I offend anyone , not my intention . It isn't about numbers for me. It is about helping people find their family.
