John David Adams, 81, left this world May 11th, 2022, at home.

He was born August 5th, 1940, in Elkmont to the late Carter and wife Mattie Davis Adams.

He is survived by his wife Marcia Adams; daughter June (Rene) Jordan; and sons Brady Adams, Jamie Adams, and David Shelton. He is also survived by his grandchildren Dennis Adams, James (Emily) Lowery, Anna (Casey) Nichols, and Kayla (Sean) Busick; "his babies" great-grandsons Gatsby Busick and Rustin Nichols; and sister Polly Crabtree. His is also survived by many friends and family and special friend Ray Wales.

John Adams was predeceased in death by siblings Harold Adams, Reed Adams, Sara Clem, Shirley Burkhardt, and Cordelia Robinson.

The family wishes to thank Eric Gernet and Chaplin Rick Cantrell for his care of John Adams. John spent the last two years of his life in the care of his daughter June. He loved horses, mules, dogs, chickens, and pigs. We hope heaven is full of sardines, Mt Dew, and Skoal. He was the best dad ever.

A service will be held at New Garden Cemetery in Elkmont on Saturday, May 14th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
