Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Larry C. Brobst and Grace Ann Sipple Brobst.
She was a 1986 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and graduated from Empire Beauty School. She owned and operated the Lake Street Hair Salon, Dallas. Maureen was a member of Elk Lake Community Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Molly Brobst.
Surviving are her children, Lorena Morgan Grohoski and husband, Zachary, Kingston; Markie Morgan and companion, Briar, Pringle; brothers, Donald Brobst and wife, Susan, Dallas; Larry Brobst and wife, Karen, Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Bonnie Ann Cavanaugh and husband, Patrick, Tunkhannock; Lorena Langan and husband, Brian, Trucksville; Tammy Burke, Kingston; granddaughter, Violet Eileen Moore; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday from Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 state Route 309, Monroe Twp., with the Rev. Charlie Bishop, of the Elk Lake Community Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Orcutt Grove Cemetery, Noxen. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
